Ahren picked up violin in 5th grade but only really found his passion for music when he found his dad's beat up guitar in the attic at the age of 12. For more than 18 years since then Ahren has played as much as possible ranging from original rock bands, Jazz Big Bands, dance bands, musical theater, classical music, traditional American and Irish music, and everything in between. Ahren is often thought of as a stylistic chameleon and serves as a sideman to many artists.
Ahren also plays Dobro, Mandolin, Bass, and Pedal Steel. You can find his bands Black Rhinoceros and Pompeii Graffiti playing on the east coast on any given weekend.
